EF English First Center EF English First is an international company dedicated to educational exchange and English education. English First schools in East Java are locally owned franchises, which follow the parent company's norms concerning the operation of a professional ESL center. EF English First schools are set up in countries with pressing demands for English language education. They cater for students of all ages and occupations, and offer general language instruction, as well as specialized classes for student groups, businesses and professionals. All EF English First schools employ highly qualified English teachers who incorporate the use of multimedia computers with CD-ROM technology into their language instruction. Since opening in early 1996, in Surabaya, we have experienced rapid expansion due to local market demands and the quality of our product, a direct result of an experienced, dedicated and flexible teaching staff. We currently have five schools in Surabaya, one school in Sidoarjo, one school in Malang and one in Bali which are all owned by the same franchisee, employing approximately forty instructors from abroad at the five schools. They come to us from Canada, England, Scotland, New Zealand, Ireland, the United States and Australia. We also employ local (Indonesian) teachers and offer the team teacher option to our students. The variety of accents is a point of pride in our schools.

TEACHERS' TESTIMONIALS
Maybe it’s because I was born and brought up in a tiny village – really, I do mean tiny, just fifteen houses – that cities have always fascinated me, especially chaotic Asian ones. Surabaya fascinates me.
FIRST VACATION
On my first vacation i went to Gili Trawangan, which is a small island off the coast of Lombok. I had such an amazing time, snorkelling and just hanging on the beach.
